Unfortunately coins that do not appear on the market often do tend to fall out of date, this is unavoidable as to maintain objective pricing, the Blue Sheet follows market movements rather than attempting to move or predict the market. So without recent sales/dealer offers, prices can only move by collector requests to source particular coins.

One of the issues with the McDonald catalogue is that it is forward looking. Dealers provide input with respects to what they 'think' coins are worth. Since they're in the business of selling coins, valuations in the catalogue inevitably rise (regardless of what the market actually accepts).

The Bluesheet is backward looking. Valuations reflect what coins actually sold for or are selling for in the market, not what dealers 'think' the coins are worth. Consequently, illiquid markets for coins tend to have prices that may no longer reflect pent-up demand for a particular coin.

Haing said that, dealers and collectors can raise the Bluesheet valuations by simply advising the administrator that they are willing to buy coins at $x level. If that level is significantly higher than the Bluesheet valuations, the Bluesheet valuation will rise.
